A two-liquid dispensing machine is a fluid control device that automatically proportions and mixes AB two-part adhesives, delivering precise and quantitative dispensing of the adhesive onto products. Since the mixed adhesive can easily cure and clog the pipes after use, affecting subsequent operations, it is crucial to perform timely maintenance after using the two-liquid dispensing machine. This ensures normal operation and extends the machine’s service life. So, what maintenance tasks are required for a two-liquid dispensing machine?

1. Cleaning the Dispensing Mixing Valve

When adhesive residue remains inside the valve body, it can cure and block the dispensing channels, causing the machine to malfunction. Therefore, the mixing valve must be cleaned when the dispensing machine stops working. First, drain the adhesive from the tank, then use a cleaning agent to wipe off any adhesive residue on the inner wall of the tank. Pour in some cleaning agent and flush the feed pipe of the metering pump. After flushing the feed pipe, connect the high-pressure fitting to the metering pump, then pour more cleaning agent into the tank. Start the machine for manual dispensing to flush the metering pump and discharge channel. This completes the cleaning of the pump, pipes, and valve. During regular operation, frequently check the tank for any adhesive skin forming on the inner wall. If found, remove it promptly to prevent adhesive skin from entering the metering pump, which could jam the pump or clog the delivery pipe.

2. Regularly Check if the Cleaning System is Working Properly

When activating the cleaning system function, pay attention to whether the cleaning process first releases gas to purge the valve and pipes, then dispenses cleaning agent, and finally releases gas again for purging. Some adhesives are sensitive to moisture and air, making them prone to solidification.

3. Clean the Machine and Keep It Tidy at All Times

During daily shifts, wipe down the exterior of the machine. Do not use corrosive cleaning agents. Wiping the machine body prevents cured adhesive splashes and other foreign matter from interfering with normal operation and affecting the appearance.

4. Inspect Electrical and Pneumatic Lines

Periodically check the machine’s electrical wiring during operation to prevent electric leakage and short circuits that could cause accidents. Inspect air pipes and fittings for damage or air/water leaks that could affect normal operation.

The key to maintaining a two-liquid dispensing machine is focusing on post-use cleaning. Ensure thorough cleaning of the mixing valve, pipes, metering pump, machine body, and other internal and external components. Maintain the proper functioning of the cleaning system, electrical lines, and pneumatic lines. Prevent residual mixed adhesive from curing or forming skin that could hinder normal equipment use or cause unnecessary wear on parts, thereby affecting the equipment’s service life.
